1:1 Behavioral Therapy
Direct Services by RBT or BCBA
Service Description
Direct implementation of evidence-based behavioral services conducted in a 1:1 session format by a credentialed clinician. Direct sessions can be conducted within the home, community, or school setting. Examples of skills that can be targeted (but not limited to) during 1:1 therapy sessions include functional communication skills, executive functioning skills, practicing emotional regulation and self-management, conversation skills, initiating and maintaining age-appropriate friendships and relationships, organizational skills, mindfulness, stress management, and independent living skills. Skills targeted within each session will be individually tailored to meet the specific and individual needs/goals of the learner. If sessions are funded through an insurance plan, preauthorization may be required. Please note that any sessions implemented by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will require supervision and oversight from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to be in compliance with industry best practices and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) ethical and professional code.
